Equally noteworthy, but for the wrong reasons, is that it was here that many Thais were killed protesting against a military coup in 1992. The design is of a large copper tray (which weighs 4 tonnes) carrying the constitution, supported by a pedestal. It's a bit of an effort to reach the monument if you want to get close though, as it's in the middle of a traffic circle that always throngs with traffic.
